English Literature

The Department of English had its inception in the year 2015 to promote language, Literature and Life skills for the enshrinement of the younger generation. It strives to enhance students life through the study and artistic production of literature, film, customs and culture. Department of English today equips students with the comprehensive knowledge and skills in language and literature. Our department’s strengths dwell on the interdisciplinary research and teaching interests of our faculty, whose cutting-edge add Literary Studies, Creative Writing, Cultural Studies, and English Education crosses tidy and traditional boundaries of discipline, period, and century.

Our Department has formed the Literary Association in the name of DAFFODILS in 2015. It consists of multiple clubs. Each club has its own unique features to develop the various skills of the students. The association conducts seminars, conferences, workshops, FDPs, Literary competitions and webinars for the faculty and students every year.

To imprint the new generation with knowledge of Literature, to comprehend its richness and inevitable role in the society. Besides, to enhance the students rational thinking and aesthetic vision through Literature by providing multifarious and functional activities.
