The department has been established in the year 2022. B.Sc. Costume Design and Fashion course usually involves researching, designing and building the actual items from conception and fashion is a general term for a currently popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, or accessories.
Fashion references to anything that is the current trend in look and dress up of a person. B.Sc. in Costume Design and Fashion is generally of three academic year’s course.
The program has been designed to offer to eligible candidates the knowledge and focus on assessing the technical know-how behind costume designing.
The program will equip the enrolled students with practical and professional knowledge like how to design costumes.
The course also offers opportunities in the fields of teaching and professing.
This program in costume design and fashion will create fully efficient costume designers who, with their knowledge of the technicalities and the nuances of costume designing can either choose to go for higher studies in the same field or seek a job in the fashion industry or become entrepreneurs themselves.
The fashion industry has become a billion-dollar industry, especially in India.
