School of Biotechnology

The department has been established in the year 2022. B.Sc. Biotechnology course is a three-year undergraduate programme that usually involves, the students to gain the knowledge based on the curriculum related to Cell Biology, Bioinstrumentation, Recombinant technology, Plant and Animal cell culture, Molecular cell biology and Bioinformatics etc.,. The students will attain the theoretical and practical knowledge by Hands-on experience.

The Department is well equipped with sophisticated instruments like Incubator, Colorimeter, Centrifuge, Laminar Air Flow (Vertical), microscopes and many more. The students will get the opportunity to undertake projects, summer training, paper presentation, paper publication, Industrial visits etc.,. The objective of the department is to provide excellent teaching and giving research experience in the branches of biotechnology and to meet up the industrial needs.

Our vision is to produce vibrant and competent Biotechnologists, who can employ efficiency and productivity in the field of Agriculture, Pharmaceutical industry, Healthcare and Restoration of environment providing sustainable development for the wellness of the present society and for future generations.
