Women Empowerment Cell

Women Empowerment Cell of AVPCAS organized an awareness program entitled ‘Crime Against Women and Child’ on 12.04.2022 at 11:30 AM. Dr. Abinavkumar IPS, Deputy Commissioner and Mr. Mohan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tirupur City, Ms. Prema, All Women Police Inspector, North Police Station, Tirupur City, Ms. Sornavalli, Police Inspector, Cyber Crime Department and Mr. K. Mohan, Sub Inspector, Technical Department, 15 Velampalayam, Tirupur were invited as the guest of honour. The dignitaries and audience were welcomed by Dr. M. Leelavathi, Principal, AVPCAS followed by the presidential address delivered by Rtn. PDG MD Mr. A. Karthikeyan, Chairman of AVP Institutions.

The honourable DC addressed the students by providing the best and safe practices of using social medias. The significance of kavalan application and the details of Emergency Toll free numbers were conveyed by Mr. Mohan, and Ms. Prema. Further, Ms. Sornavalli and Mr. K. Mohan gave precise details about the heightening of cyber crimes and its prevention. The program ended with vote of thanks delivered by Ms. D. Maheswari, coordinator of Women Empowerment Cell.
